Description

A leading hospital in Kuwait is seeking a qualified and experienced Neonatologist to join its medical team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing specialized medical care to newborn infants, particularly premature and critically ill neonates, while delivering high-quality patient care in accordance with established clinical standards, assigned privileges, and Kuwait MOH regulatory requirements.

Requirements

  • MBBS/MD with a recognized postgraduate qualification in Neonatology or Pediatrics with subspecialty training in Neonatology, or an equivalent recognized qualification.
  • Eligible for Kuwait MOH licensing as a Neonatologist.
  • Minimum 3–9 years of post-qualification experience following a PhD, Board Certification, or Fellowship from a recognized institution in the relevant specialty.
  • Strong clinical expertise in neonatal intensive care and the management of high-risk newborns.
  • Any nationality may apply.

Responsibilities

  • Provide comprehensive medical care to premature, critically ill, and high-risk newborn infants in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU).
  • Diagnose and manage neonatal conditions, congenital disorders, and complications associated with prematurity.
  • Perform neonatal resuscitation and other specialized procedures within assigned clinical privileges.
  • Monitor and manage critically ill neonates requiring ventilatory support and intensive care.
  • Collaborate with obstetricians, pediatricians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal neonatal outcomes.
  • Provide guidance and counseling to parents regarding neonatal health, treatment plans, and follow-up care.
  • Maintain accurate and timely medical records and clinical documentation.
  • Ensure compliance with Kuwait MOH regulations, hospital policies, infection control protocols, and patient safety standards.
  • Participate in multidisciplinary meetings, clinical audits, quality improvement initiatives, and continuing medical education activities.
  • Deliver compassionate, patient-centered care while maintaining the highest standards of professionalism, ethics, and clinical excellence.
