Optometrist

• Bachelor’s degree or Diploma in Optometry/Doctor of Optometry or equivalent
• Freshers can also be considered
• Valid DOH approval / license as Optometrist

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive eye examinations and vision assessments
• Diagnose refractive errors and prescribe corrective lenses when required
• Detect common eye conditions and refer patients to ophthalmologists when necessary
• Perform visual acuity testing, contact lens fitting, and related optometry procedures
• Educate patients on eye health, vision care, and preventive measures
• Maintain accurate patient records and ensure timely documentation
• Operate and maintain optometry diagnostic equipment properly
• Follow infection control, patient safety, and hospital quality standards at all times
• Maintain confidentiality and uphold professional ethics
• Provide compassionate, professional, and patient-centred care
