Consultant / Specialist Ophthalmologist – Ocular Surgeon

• MBBS/MD with a recognized postgraduate qualification  in recognized postgraduate specialization in Ophthalmology or an equivalent recognized qualification.
• Valid UAE License or DOH Eligibility as a Consultant/Specialist Ophthalmologist.
• Strong expertise in the diagnosis, medical management, and surgical treatment of ophthalmic conditions.
• Experience in performing ocular surgeries, including cataract and other anterior or posterior segment procedures, as per assigned privileges.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and manage a wide range of eye disorders and vision-related conditions.
• Perform ophthalmic surgeries and procedures in accordance with assigned clinical privileges and evidence-based practices.
• Conduct comprehensive eye examinations, diagnostic evaluations, and develop individualized treatment plans.
• Provide pre-operative, operative, and post-operative care to ensure optimal surgical outcomes.
• Interpret ophthalmic investigations and imaging to support accurate diagnosis and treatment.
• Collaborate with optometrists, physicians, and other healthcare professionals to deliver comprehensive patient care.
• Maintain accurate and timely medical records and clinical documentation in accordance with DOH regulations and hospital policies.
• Ensure compliance with patient safety standards, infection control protocols, and ethical medical practices.
• Participate in multidisciplinary meetings, clinical audits, quality improvement initiatives, and continuing medical education activities.
• Deliver compassionate, patient-centered care while maintaining the highest standards of professionalism and clinical excellence.
