Retina Surgeon

• MBBS/MD or equivalent medical degree with a recognized postgraduate qualification in Ophthalmology.
• Fellowship / advanced qualification in Vitreoretinal Surgery or Retina preferred.
• Strong clinical and surgical experience in diagnosing and managing retinal and vitreoretinal conditions.
• Expertise in retinal surgeries and procedures, including vitreoretinal surgery, retinal detachment repair, and management of diabetic retinal disease.
• Experience in managing complex retinal disorders, macular diseases, retinal vascular conditions, and other vitreoretinal conditions.
• Any UAE License / DHA Eligibility / Eligible to Apply.
• Excellent clinical, diagnostic, surgical, and decision-making skills.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive consultation, diagnosis, and treatment for retinal and vitreoretinal disorders.
• Perform retinal and vitreoretinal surgical procedures as required.
• Diagnose and manage retinal detachment, diabetic retinopathy, macular disorders, retinal vascular diseases, and other retinal conditions.
• Conduct detailed retinal examinations and interpret relevant diagnostic investigations and imaging.
• Develop individualized treatment plans based on patients’ clinical conditions.
• Perform and manage appropriate retinal procedures and post-operative care.
• Monitor patient progress and modify treatment plans when required.
• Coordinate patient care with ophthalmologists, optometrists, radiologists, and other multidisciplinary healthcare professionals.
• Provide counselling and education to patients and their families regarding diagnosis, treatment options, and post-operative care.
• Maintain accurate medical records and clinical documentation.
• Ensure compliance with clinic policies, clinical protocols, and patient safety standards.
• Participate in quality improvement, clinical audits, and continuing medical education activities.
